There's nothing quite like completing a full set. Whether it's a 396-card Topps baseball set or a 264-card Pokemon expansion, set building is pure collecting joy.
Choose Your Set
Start with a set you love. Consider: total card count, average card price, availability, and personal connection. Modern sets are easier to complete; vintage sets are more challenging but more rewarding.
The Strategy
Buy in bulk first: Purchase a hobby box or two to get your base started. You'll get 50-70% of the base set from a box depending on the product.
Trade duplicates: Use trading communities and forums to swap your duplicates for needs. Trading is more cost-effective than buying singles for common cards.
Buy singles last: For the final 10-20% of your set, buy individual cards. SuperCatch's checklist feature lets you track what you still need and find those exact cards for sale.
Storage and Display
Store your completed set in a binder with 9-pocket pages (for standard cards) or team bags in a storage box. A completed set displayed in a binder is a thing of beauty and a conversation starter.
