Holiday Impact
November-December transaction volumes increased 35% year-over-year. Pokemon sealed product was the biggest winner, with Prismatic Evolutions boxes selling above MSRP throughout the season. Sports cards saw a seasonal uptick driven by gift-giving.
Year-End Performance
Full-year 2025 performance by segment: Vintage sports cards +12%, Modern sports cards +5%, Pokemon +22%, MTG +8%, Video games +15%. The hobby as a whole grew despite broader economic uncertainty.
Notable Sales
A PSA 10 2003 Topps Chrome LeBron James sold for $270,000 in December — a new record for the card in that grade. Pokemon continued to produce six-figure sales for vintage Base Set in PSA 10.
2026 Outlook
The 2026 World Cup (June) will drive soccer card demand. The NBA and NFL continue to produce exciting rookies. Pokemon shows no signs of slowing. We're cautiously optimistic about 2026.
