The 2001 Tom van de Logt Bio card, identified by the card number tvdl0a, is a distinct entry within the Magic: The Gathering World Championship Decks 2001 set. This token card, assigned the set code WC01, serves as a biographical marker for the Netherlands National Champion from that year. Unlike standard gameplay cards, this product functions as a commemorative piece rather than a functional mana or creature token, with a mana value of 0 and a type line of Card. Tom van de Logt is featured on this 2001 World Championship Decks card as the Netherlands National Champion and a student from Groesbeek. His strategic approach involved an aggressive black-red deck he referred to as "Machine Head," designed to counter dominant blue strategies. The card captures this moment in the game's competitive history, linking the player's identity directly to the World Championship Decks 2001 release. Collectors who track the evolution of Magic: The Gathering's premier events often look for this bio card to complete their WC01 set. The tvdl0a identifier ensures accurate placement within the checklist, distinguishing it from other biographical tokens or gameplay cards in the expansion. For enthusiasts of the game's early 2000s era, this card provides a tangible connection to the players and strategies that defined the 2001 World Championship. It remains a recognized component for collectors focusing on the World Championship Decks line, offering a specific historical snapshot without the need for complex gameplay mechanics. ## Sources

Tom van de Logt is the 2001 Netherlands National Champion as well as one of an elite group of players who have posted back-to-back World Championship Top 8 performances. Currently a student in Groesbeek, van de Logt posted an impressive 5—1 record in the Standard portion of this year's Worlds. He described his aggressive black-red "Machine Head" deck as "the deck that beats the deck that beats 'Fires.'" He liked the explosive "I win" draws that his deck provided, and he especially liked the way it performed against blue decks.
