Description
Released in 2007 as part of the DP Black Star Promos series, the DP36 Gliscor holo promo card stands as a distinct entry in the Pokémon Trading Card Game's promotional landscape. Designed by Kagemaru Himeno, this Stage 1 Fighting-type Pokémon evolves from Gligar and carries 90 HP, offering collectors a tangible piece of the Diamond and Pearl era's strategic depth. The holo finish adds visual appeal, making it a sought-after item for those who appreciate the aesthetic and historical context of early 2000s Pokémon promotions. Beyond its collectibility, this card is notable for its unique gameplay mechanics. The Bind Eye ability provides strategic control, preventing opponents from removing Special Conditions by evolving or devolving their Pokémon. This defensive utility is complemented by attacks like Colorless Cutting Turn and Fighting Friction Heat, which deal damage and apply status conditions. These features make it a fascinating subject for players and historians alike, who study the evolution of card design and balance during this pivotal period. Collectors often seek out DP36 Gliscor for its role in the broader DP Black Star Promos collection. As a promo card, it was distributed through special events and incentives, adding layers of provenance and interest for those building comprehensive sets. The card's identity is firmly rooted in its specific set code PR-DPP and its status as a holo treatment release. Whether you are a veteran collector or new to the hobby, understanding the context of this 2007 release enhances the appreciation of its design and gameplay significance.

Ability: Bind Eye
As long as Gliscor is your Active Pokémon, your opponent can't remove any Special Conditions by evolving or devolving his or her Pokémon. (This also includes putting a Pokémon Level-Up card onto that Pokémon.)
Attack: Cutting Turn
Flip a coin. If heads, put damage counters on the Defending Pokémon until it is 10HP away from being Knocked Out. If you do, shuffle Gliscor and all cards attached to it back into your deck.
Attack: Friction Heat (20)
The Defending Pokémon is now Burned.
