Description
Unown I, card number 37, is a fundamental Psychic-type Basic Pokémon from the 2007 Mysterious Treasures expansion. Illustrated by Daisuke Ito, this card captures the enigmatic nature of the Unown species, which resembles ancient writing. As a Rare card, it holds a distinct place in the set's roster of mysterious creatures. In gameplay, Unown I is defined by its strategic Bench ability. Once per turn, if you have Unown I, Unown T, Unown E, and Unown M on your Bench, you may search your deck for a Trainer card. This ability encourages collectors to build specific combinations for synergistic play. Its attack, Hidden Power, allows you to choose an Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon and treat it as a Special Energy card providing Colorless Energy. Collectors often seek out Unown I for its thematic connection to the Unown family and its functional role in older Pokémon TCG strategies. With a retreat cost of only 1, it offers flexibility in deck building. The card's Pokédex number is 201, reflecting its status in the broader Pokémon universe.

Ability: ITEM
Once during your turn (before your attack), if you have Unown I, Unown T, Unown E, and Unown M on your Bench, you may search your deck for a Trainer card, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. You can't use more than 1 ITEM Poké-Power each turn.
Attack: Hidden Power
Choose an Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon and put it face down. Treat that card as a Special Energy card that provides Colorless Energy and doesn't have any effect other than providing Energy. Put that card face up at the end of your opponent's next turn.
Shaped like ancient writing, it is a huge mystery whether language or UNOWN came first.
