Description
Released in 1999 as part of the Wizards Black Star Promos series, the Entei Reverse Holo Promo (Card #34) remains a recognizable figure for veteran collectors. This Basic Fire-type Pokémon card features artwork by Ken Sugimori and showcases Entei’s unique Bolt ability, which triggers when the opponent's attack damages Entei, allowing players to shuffle it back into their deck with attached cards. Its Protective Flame attack offers strategic defense, preventing damage to Benched Pokémon during the opponent's next turn. As a promotional release, this card holds a special place in the early history of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, often distributed through special events and retail giveaways. The reverse holo finish adds a distinct visual appeal that sets it apart from standard printings, making it a favorite among set builders and parallel collectors. For enthusiasts of the Pokémon franchise, this promo card serves as a tangible link to the late 90s era of collectible card gaming, representing both nostalgia and the enduring appeal of legendary Pokémon like Entei.
