Description
The 2021 release of Strixhaven: School of Mages Minigames introduced a series of promotional cards designed specifically for casual, multi-player interaction rather than competitive tournament play. Among these is card number 5, titled Dominarioes // Dominarioes (cont'd), a double-faced token that serves as a unique addition to the Magic: The Gathering collection for enthusiasts of the franchise's lore and mechanics. This card functions as a standalone game engine, allowing players to engage in a mini-game using cards drawn from a standard pack. The objective involves connecting cards in the most condensed way possible, turning a standard opening into a strategic puzzle. By removing basic lands, ads, and other tokens, players create a board where the goal is to link cards together. The final rank is determined by the dimensions of the connected board relative to the remaining unplaced cards, offering a variable outcome that encourages replayability. As a common rarity card within the MSTX set code, this token is accessible to all collectors. It represents a distinct facet of the Strixhaven era, highlighting the game's versatility beyond traditional drafting or constructed formats. Collectors often seek out these minigame cards to complete their set collections or to use in casual gatherings, appreciating the creative design that brings the world of Dominaria to life through gameplay. The double-faced nature of the card adds an element of surprise and depth, making it a notable item for those who enjoy the broader cultural impact of the Magic brand.

1 player | 1 pack | 5 minutes OBJECTIVE: In ancient Dominaria, Urza and Serra would play *Dominarioes* to pass the time. Connect all cards in the *most condensed way possible.* GET READY: Open a pack, remove all basic lands, ads, and tokens. LET'S PLAY: Place a card face up to start the game. That card is now in play. Continue to place cards that connect to another card in play (see diagram on the back of this card). TO WIN: The game ends when all cards that can be connected have been placed. Determine how many cards long and wide the board is, then add whichever number is higher to the number of unplaced cards to get your rank. 5 or lower is Planeswalker (the best!), 6 is Wizard, and 7+ is Goblin!
