Description
This Rare Stage 1 Lightning Pokémon evolves from Voltorb and carries 80 Hit Points. Designed by Ken Sugimori, the card features the Energy Shift ability, which allows players to keep Electrode in play rather than discarding it when knocked out by damage from an attack. For offensive strategies, the Lightning attack, Ion Blast, lets you deal 40 damage plus an additional 60 more damage, though this comes with the risk of Electrode dealing 100 damage to itself. Collectors often seek this card for its distinctive mechanics and its place in the Secret Wonders subset. The card remains a recognizable part of the Pokémon franchise's history, appealing to those who appreciate the strategic depth of early 2000s TCG designs. Whether you are building a set or focusing on specific Pokémon types, this Electrode card offers a solid addition to any library. It represents a key moment in the evolution of Pokémon card gameplay, balancing risk and reward through its unique attack and ability combinations.

Card Text
Abilities, attacks, oracle text, and flavor text printed on the card.
Ability: Energy Shift
Once during your turn, if Electrode would be Knocked Out by damage from an attack, you may use this power. Electrode isn't discarded. Instead, attach it as an Energy card to 1 of your Pokémon. While attached, this card is a Special Energy card and provides every type of Energy but provides only 1 Energy at a time. (Has no effect other than providing Energy.)
Attack: Ion Blast (40+)
You may do 40 damage plus 60 more damage. If you do, Electrode does 100 damage to itself.
It is known to drift on winds if it is bloated to bursting with stored electricity.
