How cards, sets, and variants are structured in the SuperCatch catalog.
8 TermsCard Number
The collector number printed on a card (for example #152/198) that identifies it within its set's checklist.
Catalog Card
The canonical, shared record for a specific card (player, year, brand, set, card number) that all listings for that card link back to.

A special card randomly inserted into packs alongside base cards, usually with its own themed checklist within the set.
Parallel
A version of a base card with a different finish, color, or serial numbering — for example a Silver Prizm or a /99 refractor of the same base card.

A grading company's published count of how many copies of a card it has graded at each grade level, used to gauge scarcity.

A complete card release from a manufacturer for a given year, such as 2023 Topps Chrome Baseball.
Subset
A smaller themed group of cards inside a set — an insert run, rookie subset, or short-print series with its own numbering.
Variant
Any distinct print variation of the same card identity — parallels, short prints, or image variations that share a card number but differ visually or in scarcity.
Grading
Condition, grading companies, and certification terminology.

The unique certification number printed on a graded card's label; it can be verified against the grading company's database.

Subgrades
